Chatbox Rules

Hello Guest! This topic was produced to introduce you to our community's personalized chatbox, as well as lay out the "do's" and "don'ts" of it. Most of the following are tied in with our forum's guidelines, therefore you'll see that these rules are simply repeats of what you may have already seen. We promise we are not too strict with what can be said and done in the chatbox, but regardless, a quick glance over our code of conduct would be great. Thank you in advance.

1. Respect is our golden rule; everyone is to treat others with respect regardless if you like the person or not. If an issue arises, please keep it away from the public and contact a staff member via PM.

2. Use proper grammar so people can understand what you are saying clearly. It is okay to chat speak or use Caps every now and then, but overusing them will result in a warning by a staff member.

3. Mild swearing is allowed, however swearing aggressively towards another user is not tolerated under any circumstance.

4. Posting links that belong to explicit or pornographic content will be deleted immediately, and you will be banned if caught doing this.

5. It is okay to answer questions or provide information to those who may be confused of something regarding the Anomaly community, but do not pose/act like a staff member or backseat moderate. Backseat moderating, or pretending/acting like a staff member is not allowed and will not increase your chance of becoming one. Here is a list of examples that are considered backseat moderating:

  • Commenting things that go along the lines of: “If you need help or have questions, just PM me.”
  • Posting comments that address the entire community such as announcements like ones a staff member would create.

6. It is required that you use one of your characters on our community as your username. Do not pretend to be someone else who is registered with our community.

7. Remember that our chatbox is currently available to guests, so try to maintain a positive and welcoming energy in case we do happen to have a visitor chat with us!

8. Most important..have fun! Be your happy, high, and wild self!
